Female leader of savings and loan group is dedicated and responsible

Through that, she has helped many female members overcome difficulties, improve their lives, and contribute to promoting the women's movement and Association activities in the locality.

“When I first became the head of the Savings and Loan Group, I encountered many difficulties due to people’s limited awareness of preferential loans. Many households did not dare to borrow money for fear of not being able to repay the principal and interest to the bank.

I had to take the time to visit each household to mobilize and propagate so that they understood the benefits that preferential capital brought, and gradually the households trusted and participated in the group's activities," Ms. Kim Phung confided.

As the Head of the Savings and Loan Group, she coordinated with the government and socio -political organizations to go to the locality to grasp the difficult circumstances of the subjects, consider lending according to the correct procedures and to the right beneficiaries.

Along with that, she built the organization's operating regulations, established a close relationship between the Women's Union and credit officers of the Tay Ninh City Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to properly fulfill commitments to the bank, pay interest and repay debts on time as prescribed to avoid bad debt and overdue debt.

With a sense of responsibility and dedication to the assigned work, from 30 borrowing households, up to now the Savings and Loan Group managed by Ms. Kim Phung has had 60 borrowing households, with a total outstanding debt of more than 2.3 billion VND.

Over the years, with the close supervision and inspection of Ms. Kim Phung, from the loan evaluation and use stage to the propaganda, urging and reminder, the Ninh Trung Ward Savings and Loan Group has paid interest and debt on time, without overdue debt or bad debt.

Ms. Vo Thi Kim Lien is a member of the Women's Union and was able to access a loan for near-poor households of VND30 million. Ms. Lien used the loan to open a grocery store at home, which has helped her family's life gradually stabilize and enable her to raise her children.

Ms. Le Thi Kim Phung said: “Although the job is hard, I am very happy because I get to be close to people. When I can help them borrow money, have money to cover their living expenses, and do better business, I also feel happy.”

Ms. Le Thuy Uyen Phuong - President of the Women's Union of Ninh Son Ward said that with her enthusiasm and dedication to the poor, over the years, Ms. Le Thi Kim Phung - Head of the Savings and Loan Group of Ninh Trung Ward has helped many poor households and policy beneficiaries have the conditions to develop their economy and improve their family life.

She always shows a high sense of responsibility, fully participates in the meetings of the Social Policy Bank, studies documents to ensure that loan evaluation is in accordance with regulations, supervises and reminds borrowers to use capital effectively. With her enthusiasm, responsibility in work, and good management of policy credit capital, Ms. Kim Phung has received many awards.
