Stabilizing the situation after a worker fainted at Innoflow Thuan Nam Co., Ltd.

According to a report from the People's Committee of Thuan Nam District, the incident began on April 26, 2025 when Innoflow Company Limited announced that 15 workers had fainted and were taken to the emergency room. Immediately, the People's Committee of the district directed the District Medical Center to coordinate with relevant units and the People's Committee of Phuoc Nam Commune to urgently deploy rescue work. According to initial information about the incident from the authorities, there were 61 workers who fainted, of which 22 cases had to be hospitalized. All of these workers, after being treated and cared for at medical facilities, were in stable health and were safely discharged from the hospital.

Immediately after the incident, the investigation into the cause of the incident was urgently carried out with the participation of the Provincial Center for Disease Control and the Provincial Police Department. The working group directly worked and inspected Innoflow Company Limited. Regarding the working environment conditions, records at the time of inspection showed that the workshops were equipped with ventilation and cooling fan systems and wall fans. Measurements at workshop 2 at 3:00 p.m. showed a temperature of 29.8 degrees Celsius, humidity of 77%, wind speed of 0.45 m/s and CO concentration of 920 mg/m³, all within the permitted limits according to regulations.

Initial assessments of the cause of the incident made by the Department of Health include the possibility of a chain reaction of psychological factors, the effects of temperature and humidity that can increase when working in crowded conditions, and the declining health of some workers due to the environment or inappropriate rest regime, combined with air pressure, temperature and humidity that can lead to hypotension and local hypoxia.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of Thuan Nam District People's Committee, said: To proactively respond to possible situations, Thuan Nam District People's Committee has quickly deployed specific measures. The District Health Center has established two rapid response teams, ready to support the company in handling medical issues. At the same time, a district-level interdisciplinary monitoring team has also been established to closely monitor the operations of Innoflow Company Limited, promptly report and coordinate with provincial authorities in inspecting and handling issues related to the environment and labor safety.

Notably, while the authorities are trying to clarify the cause and stabilize the situation, unverified information and unauthenticated images have appeared on social networks, causing public confusion. In this situation, the People's Committee of Thuan Nam district has issued a document requesting relevant departments, branches and sectors to coordinate in handling false information and orienting public opinion. Specifically, the district requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to support in handling unverified information on social networks, and at the same time orient information, avoiding affecting the psychology of workers and local people, creating conditions for the company to stabilize its operations.

With drastic measures and synchronous participation of authorities at all levels, Thuan Nam district is making efforts to stabilize the situation, clarify the cause of the incident, create the best conditions for Innoflow Company Limited to soon stabilize production activities, ensuring the rights and psychology of workers.
