Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Bac Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Affairs - announced the decision of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to appoint Mr. Tran Van Manh, Head of the Publishing and Events Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine, to the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine. The term of office is 5 years.
At the decision-awarding ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized: "The Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine is a specialized magazine, with information of a professional nature in education, therefore, management and quality are very important for the development of the education sector in Ho Chi Minh City."
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Tran Van Manh said: "In my new position, I will continue to cultivate journalistic ethics, strive to learn together with the editor-in-chief, staff, reporters, editors, and employees of the unit, working together with unity, responsibility, creativity, and innovation to successfully complete the assigned tasks," Mr. Manh shared.
Mr. Tran Van Manh was born in 1980 in Thanh Hoa province. His professional qualifications include a Master's degree in Culture; his political theory qualifications include advanced political theory.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Tran Van Manh had worked for 20 years at the Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine (formerly the Ho Chi Minh City Education Newspaper) and held various positions including: reporter, head of events department, head of distribution department, head of distribution and events department, deputy editor-in-chief of the Ho Chi Minh City Education Newspaper; member of the editorial board, head of distribution and events department of the Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine.
Mr. Tran Van Manh is currently also the chairman of the Education Journalists Club under the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association.
At the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy expressed her wish that Mr. Tran Van Manh and the staff of the Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine would continue to develop and strengthen the organization, building the magazine into a forum and an important, official information channel providing information and critical analysis of policies on education, training, culture, and society with honest, accurate, and multifaceted opinions.
