Striving to inaugurate the Inter-level Boarding School before the 2026-2027 school year

HA TINH Along with 12 other localities across the country, Ha Tinh has 2 Boarding School Projects for Primary and Secondary Levels built in Son Kim 1 Commune and Huong Khe Commune.

On the morning of November 9, the Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with the People's Committees of Lang Son, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Dak Lak and An Giang provinces to simultaneously organize the groundbreaking ceremony of 72 inter-level boarding schools in land border communes with 13 online and live television broadcast points.

In Ha Tinh, two projects were started in Son Kim 1 commune and Huong Khe commune. Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, representatives of central ministries and branches; Secretary of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duy Lam, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai and departments and branches attended the groundbreaking ceremony at the Son Kim 1 Inter-level Boarding School.

Speaking at the Son Kim 1 Boarding School, Vice Chairwoman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Nguyet emphasized that, through many stages of development, the Party Committee and People of Ha Tinh always identified education in border areas as a top priority task, because this place is both a "school of knowledge" and a "fortress of the people's hearts".

Implementing the Politburo's conclusions, Ha Tinh has proactively reviewed, planned and proposed to invest in 7 inter-level school projects in 7 border communes with a total investment of more than 740 billion VND. These are all key projects of special significance to the province, with pioneering significance and symbolizing the locality's determination to bring the Politburo's policies into life.

“The Son Kim 1 Boarding School has a modern scale with 40 classes for 1,330 students, with a total investment of about 140 billion VND. The project includes a full range of learning areas, functional areas, dormitories, and cultural activities areas. When completed and put into use, it will be a bridge of knowledge, helping to foster dreams and build a future for generations of children in remote areas,” the Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh province emphasized.

For Huong Khe Inter-level Boarding School, the project is built in Phu Gia village on an area of ​​over 5 hectares. The school has 35 classes, 1,209 students with a total investment of about 154 billion VND. The completed project will meet the learning and living needs of children in Huong Khe commune, contributing to improving the quality of education, creating a foundation to promote socio-economic development in the border area of ​​the province.

The leaders of Ha Tinh province requested the authorities of Huong Khe and Son Kim 1 communes to actively support the site clearance work and create the most favorable conditions for the contractor during the construction process. The Provincial Management Board of Civil Works and Infrastructure Construction Investment Projects directed the construction unit and the supervision unit to implement the project to ensure quality, safety, and progress, striving to complete the project before the 2026-2027 school year.

For the remaining 5 projects scheduled to start construction in 2026, Ha Tinh leaders requested that departments, branches and units actively advise the Provincial People's Committee to soon complete procedures; at the same time, proactively coordinate with localities to deploy necessary tasks such as planning, site clearance, etc.
