Launching support for localities in Lam Dong province to overcome damage caused by floods

On November 3, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards in Lam Dong province simultaneously launched a campaign to support localities in the province to overcome damage caused by floods.

* On the morning of November 3, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ham Thuan Nam commune organized a launching ceremony to support communes in Lam Dong province that suffered damage caused by floods.

At the ceremony, the representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ham Thuan Nam commune called on all cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, businesses and people in the area to promote the spirit of "Mutual love and affection", "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", and join hands to support people in areas affected by natural disasters, storms and floods.

In recent days, due to the impact of natural disasters, storms and floods occurring continuously in many localities across the country in general and Lam Dong province in particular, many areas have suffered heavy damage.

Flash floods, landslides and heavy rains have swept away property and destroyed many traffic works, houses and fields; severely affected people's lives, activities and production, leaving pain and difficulties for many families.

Through the launching ceremony, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ham Thuan Nam commune expressed their hope that the spirit of solidarity and sharing will continue to spread widely, contributing to helping people in disaster-stricken areas reduce losses and soon stabilize their lives.

On this occasion, the Fatherland Front Committee of the communes called on cadres, party members and people in the area to "help with whatever they have" to promptly share with the people in the province affected by storm No. 12.

Cadres and People of the communes can contribute directly or by bank transfer to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune. The amount received will be made public and widely informed to the People.

According to the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, with the spirit of mutual love and support, officials and people of localities in the province have also had many activities to join hands to contribute to supporting the people of the Central region and people in the province affected by floods to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

Up to now, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has received over 54 billion VND, of which 26 billion VND has been provided to 10 damaged provinces in the North and Central region in the first phase.

At the same time, implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has advised on allocating funds from mobilized sources to support communes and wards in the province that suffered damage due to floods of more than 11 billion VND.
