Through each page of the book, the image of President Ho Chi Minh appears as an immortal light, a spiritual support for communists in the dark prison. From secret meetings, stories passed from hand to hand, to revolutionary theory lessons learned by heart under the dim light of prison, all demonstrate loyalty, steadfast belief in the ideal of national independence and his image.

With 12 typical stories and poems such as “Always have Uncle Ho by my side”, “A day in May in the tiger cage”, “Con Dao political prisoners hold Uncle Ho’s funeral at Tan Hiep prison”… the book not only realistically depicts painful but proud memories, but also arouses in readers, especially the younger generation, pride, gratitude and the spirit of “living like flowers” of the indomitable children in the prison of the past.
The publication was launched in May, Uncle Ho's birthday month, as a gift of deep gratitude to those who "have Uncle Ho in their hearts" to keep the revolutionary fire alive until the day of total victory.
