Body found in deep abyss on Son Tra Peninsula

At around 12:30 p.m. on May 23, people discovered a male body lying under a rock in Bai Bac area, Son Tra peninsula, Da Nang city, so they called Da Nang police.

Immediately afterwards, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Son Tra District (Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Da Nang City Police) quickly coordinated with the permanent militia of Tho Quang Ward and the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches to organize forces to approach the scene.

Because the victim was located in a deep rocky area, more than 40 meters from the edge of the negative slope, the soldiers were forced to carry specialized ropes, a rescue stretcher, and personal safety equipment, walking nearly 1 km on a steep road with difficult terrain to reach the body.

The victim was identified as a male with many large tattoos on his body. His body had begun to decompose, and his identity and whereabouts were unknown. At around 3 p.m. the same day, the rescue work was completed and the body was handed over to the authorities for further verification and handling according to regulations.
