(HBĐT)- Through loans from the Social Policy Bank (SPB) of Kim Boi district, many farmer members in the district have boldly invested in effective economic models, contributing to increasing income. Up to now, hundreds of members have accessed and effectively used preferential credit capital, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction and stabilizing their lives.
Farmers in Ba Ra hamlet, Hung Son commune (Kim Boi) develop a tea growing model that brings in a good income.
Member Bui Duc Chinh, Trao hamlet, Hop Tien commune is one of the typical farmers in the emulation movement of good production and business (SX-KD) of the district. After many years of hard work, up to now, he has maintained a good model of raising sows. In the early days of starting his business, he was supported by the Farmers' Association (FA) of the district and commune, creating conditions to access policy capital with preferential interest rates. At the same time, he participated in science and technology training courses to master breeding techniques, ensuring production efficiency. Currently, with a scale of 17 barns, his family raises about 15 sows. The pig litters are raised using semi-industrial methods, one litter overlaps the other, every 6 months a litter of about 70 pigs is sold to the Hanoi market. In addition, his family sells groceries, acts as a level 1 agent for an animal feed company in Hai Duong to serve the people in the area.
Not only Mr. Chinh's family, in the period of 2018 - 2023, in Kim Boi district, many HVND families, thanks to borrowing capital from the VBSP, have risen to become typical examples in the local good production and business movement. In order for preferential credit capital to be effective, every year, the Standing Committee of the District Farmers' Association proactively develops plans and launches emulation movements associated with the task of improving the quality of entrusted activities with the VBSP. Closely following the direction of superiors, closely coordinating with the District VBSP in inspection and supervision work. Directing the grassroots Association to promote propaganda to members about preferential loan programs; providing guidance on the use of loans suitable to the conditions of each family. The Association and its groups seriously and transparently carry out the work of loan evaluation, ensuring that capital reaches the right subjects, and that borrowers use it for the right purpose. In particular, special attention is paid to helping poor and near-poor member households borrow capital to develop the economy.
In addition, the Association actively promotes and mobilizes members to participate in training courses and transfer science and technology to gain knowledge to apply in production. In the past 5 years, nearly 25 thousand HVND members have been transferred scientific and technological advances in animal husbandry, disease prevention and treatment for livestock and poultry; intensive cultivation techniques for rice and other crops, forestry trees, etc.
Promoting existing advantages, the District Farmers' Association coordinated with relevant units to synchronously deploy many support solutions, creating conditions to help members develop production. By the end of 2022, the Association was entrusted with the District Social Policy Bank with a total capital of 129,603 billion VND, through 80 savings and loan groups for 3,324 households to borrow. From the policy capital, many households have escaped poverty and become sustainably rich. Many production and business models and effective projects have been widely spread, such as projects on raising breeding buffaloes, raising fattening cows, raising commercial fish, intensive cultivation of longan trees, planting citrus trees, etc.
Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of the Kim Boi District Farmers' Association, said: Identifying entrustment as one of the important tasks that need to be focused on, the Association always closely follows the directives of the superiors, coordinates with the district's Social Policy Bank to effectively carry out the task of entrusting capital. Based on the achieved results, in the coming time, the Association will continue to promote its role as a bridge between farmers and loan sources, implement solutions to improve credit quality, seek support and create favorable conditions from local Party committees and authorities for lending entrustment activities and inspect, supervise, and ensure that capital is used by farmers for the right purposes and effectively.
