The Planning - Operation Department currently has 8 officers performing a large amount of work such as advising and assisting the center's board of directors in planning, allocating targets, and reporting statistics of the unit; scientific research, archiving medical records, professional training, directing lines, and foreign hospital work... At the same time, it develops regulations and professional technical procedures, implements infection prevention and control measures according to regulations, and participates in epidemic prevention and control work in the area.
In the past time, the Planning - Professional Department has advised the Board of Directors in developing plans, making regular and ad hoc statistical reports, and directing professional work, achieving over 100% of targets. Every quarter, the department reviews and evaluates work and draws experiences to set out future directions. At the same time, it strengthens coordination with departments and faculties in medical examination and treatment; disease prevention and control and national health programs.
Ms. Dang Ngoc Bich - Head of Planning and Operations Department said: "To achieve and exceed targets, each individual always upholds the spirit of responsibility, innovates work, and is determined to carry out assigned tasks. The department is united, assigns specific tasks to each individual right from the beginning of the year, and always supports each other in implementation."
From 2019 to 2023, the Planning - Professional Department achieved many set targets, developed plans to implement professional tasks, disease prevention and control plans in 2023 reaching over 136% compared to 2019. The Department built technical procedures for medical examination and treatment, infection control procedures, patient care procedures at medical centers and 12 medical stations in 2023 reaching 200% compared to 2019; completed the records of recognition and re-recognition of medical stations meeting national criteria on health in 2023 reaching 300% compared to 2019...
In addition, the department also does a good job of instructing nurses, physicians, midwives and technicians on technical procedures, patient care procedures; instructing on how to record and manage medical records... Ms. Tran Kim Diep - an officer of the Planning and Professional Affairs Department shared: "Each officer of the department has many tasks, but thanks to the attention and encouragement of the Board of Directors, the department's leaders, my colleagues and I always strive to complete the assigned tasks. When encountering difficulties, the department brings them up for discussion and exchange to find specific and feasible solutions to complete the targets and tasks".
During the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Planning and Operation Department advised the People's Committee of Rach Gia City (before the merger) to develop a plan to conduct community testing for SARS-CoV-2 virus; advise and propose support for medical supplies and biological products for community testing and centralized quarantine areas. At the same time, advise on developing response plans for each level of the epidemic and flexible plans to adapt to the new situation. The Department assigned 4 officers to participate in the work of centralized quarantine areas and ensure infection control in the quarantine areas.
Currently, the Planning - Professional Department has completed the implementation of the inpatient project at Rach Gia Medical Center for the period 2020 - 2025; built a list of techniques and technical procedures for medical examination and treatment; infection control procedures; regulations on classification, collection, storage, transportation and treatment of hazardous medical waste at the center and medical stations... The Department has developed and completed the electronic medical record project at the unit. Every year, the Department participates in scientific research topics, contributing to improving professional activities.
Doctor Nguyen Van Quy - Director of Rach Gia Medical Center said: "With a large workload, the Planning - Professional Department always strives to complete all assigned tasks, effectively performing the work of advising the Board of Directors in directing and operating professional work, contributing to improving the quality of the unit's operations."
The Planning and Operation Department was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for its achievements in work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland in the period of 2018 - 2023.
