The title The Castle in the Mirror refers to a castle standing alone, alone, or a castle under siege, with no chance of being rescued. The main setting in the film is also a majestic, magnificent castle - where Anzai Kokoro begins her strange adventure. Locked in her room day after day instead of going to school after suffering a psychological trauma, 7th grader Kokoro suddenly discovers that the mirror in her room is glowing, curiously walks over and meets 6 more friends in the castle. From then on, the seven lonely children are forced to move forward together before the final answer is revealed...
