Fire at the old headquarters of the Department of Planning and Investment of Hai Phong

(PLVN) - Many papers and documents were burned on the 2nd floor of the Department of Planning and Investment, but fortunately there were no casualties.

At around 1:30 p.m. on May 29, the 114 Command Center of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hai Phong City Police received a report of a fire at the old headquarters of the Department of Planning and Investment - now merged into the Department of Finance, located at 1 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Hong Bang District, Hai Phong City.

Many papers and documents were burned.

The leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department mobilized Team Area 1 to urgently go to the scene with 4 fire trucks. The functional forces quickly deployed their formation, approached the fire area to put out the fire.

Preliminary information shows that the fire broke out on the second floor of the two-story building. The incident caused damage to documents and papers, but fortunately there were no casualties.

The fire was controlled and completely extinguished by authorities at 1:35 p.m. the same day.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
