Another Vinh University official accused by students of 'not being up to standard'

(PLVN) - Recently, on social media, an anonymous Facebook account posted information accusing a teacher named D, who is working at Vinh University, of inappropriate behavior towards students.

After the KV account posted on social media accusing Mr. Q., an officer at Vinh University, of sexually harassing a female student, another anonymous account continued to post information on social media accusing Mr. D., also an officer at Vinh University, of inappropriate behavior with a female student.

The content of the post shows that the account owner is a student of K64 at Vinh University. At the end of last semester, the female student was disciplined in her studies and had to meet with Mr. D, the student manager of the Pedagogy Faculty, to resolve the matter. After that, for a month, the female student continuously received calls and messages from Mr. D. asking her to go out for coffee in the evening, to drink with him, and to go to the lake. I used the excuse of going to work or going back to my hometown to refuse, then he checked the dormitory where I lived to see if I was lying or not. Mr. D. also sent obscene images, 18+ videos ... He threatened that if I did not go with him, I would be disciplined at the highest level. When the fear reached its peak, I had to ask for help from the teachers of the faculty. I did not think that in the pedagogical environment of Vinh University there would be such shameful elements", the female student shared in the post. The female student said that she had considered very carefully before writing the above post.

Regarding this issue, Vinh University said that it is establishing a working group to verify the incident. "The individuals named in the report have all been reviewed and inspected according to the process. In particular, Mr. D. is currently identified as an assistant in charge of student management at the school."

Previously, Vietnam Law Newspaper reported that a female student at Vinh University accused an officer named Q. of inviting her to drink beer and eat alone and using inappropriate language when she came to ask for document confirmation. After receiving the information, Vinh University temporarily suspended this officer to verify the incident.
