Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Trong Dong visited and wished a Happy New Year to the families of war invalids: Dao Xuan Tan (born in 1954, residing in Minh Phu commune) and Mr. Dinh Van Deu (born in 1951, residing in Minh Tri commune); Ms. Duong Thi Sinh (born in 1983) - Chairman of the Association of People with Disabilities in Minh Tri commune.

On the same afternoon, the delegation also visited, encouraged, gave gifts and wished a Happy New Year to environmental officers and workers working at the Nam Son Waste Treatment Complex (Soc Son district).
Appreciating the efforts of the leaders and environmental workers of the Nam Son Waste Treatment Complex, Xuan Son Waste Treatment Complex and Hanoi Environment One Member Co., Ltd., who have done a good job in collecting, transporting and treating waste in the city, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Trong Dong pointed out that in the process of implementing collection and treatment, there were times when the expectations of the city's leaders and people were not met, and there were times when waste was left behind, causing environmental sanitation and urban landscape loss.
Therefore, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Trong Dong requested that in the coming time, environmental sanitation enterprises and two domestic waste treatment units must invest in machinery, improve waste collection and treatment technology, automate the collection and treatment process; coordinate with districts, towns and cities to remove garbage and black spots of environmental pollution; increase dust extraction and street cleaning to limit air quality pollution...
In particular, during the 2025 Lunar New Year, environmental sanitation units will continue to make efforts to prevent waste from accumulating in residential areas, public areas and entertainment venues in the capital...
Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Trong Dong also requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and other sectors to strengthen inspection, supervision, and urge the Seraphin Factory to speed up the completion progress to put it into operation, ending the current practice of burying waste that pollutes the environment.
"In addition, the city's departments and branches will coordinate with Soc Son district, Ba Vi district and Son Tay town to develop a project to effectively use the landfill area after all the old garbage is burned, so as not to waste land" - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Trong Dong emphasized.
