At the reception, congratulating AIIB on the occasion of its 10th anniversary and appreciating the important role and positive contributions of AIIB in sustainable development and enhancing regional connectivity, including Vietnam, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Bui Thanh Son hoped that AIIB in the coming time will prioritize promoting cooperation and investment in a number of key areas, in line with current new development requirements in the region such as infrastructure development, especially cross-border connectivity infrastructure, green infrastructure, sustainable development, response to climate change; consider allocating preferential capital to provide technical assistance and project financing for developing countries...
Informing that the Vietnamese Government gives high priority to investment in innovation, science and technology, and infrastructure development, especially roads and railways, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Bui Thanh Son asked the AIIB to actively support Vietnam in mobilizing resources to implement large and important projects on infrastructure development in the new era.

Impressed by Vietnam's innovation and strong development, the AIIB President affirmed that AIIB is ready to support and provide finance in various forms to develop key infrastructure projects in Vietnam, especially important road and railway projects with great spillover effects to promote connectivity in the region. He also shared his concerns about potential projects in Vietnam in the fields of renewable energy, healthcare, climate change adaptation, etc.
The two sides agreed to increase exchanges in various frameworks to promote cooperation, contributing practically to the sustainable development process of Vietnam and the region.
