Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh proposed a number of orientations for rapid and sustainable development of the tourism industry, such as: Continuing to improve institutions and renewing thinking about tourism development. Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular need to shift from the mindset of "growth at all costs" to "sustainable development"; from considering tourism as a service industry to seeing tourism as a creative economic sector, converging culture, economy, environment and technology.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the need to strengthen and expand international cooperation in the direction of digital transformation, green transformation, strongly applying smart governance models, sharing data and knowledge to build a smart, green and sustainable tourism ecosystem...
On the other hand, it is necessary to promote regional and industry linkages, develop sustainable tourism value chains, and link tourism with agriculture, culture, environment, and science and technology to form unique, in-depth, and highly competitive products.
Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair 2025 is jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the Organizing Committee, coordinating the organization of events in the same space and time not only promotes the success of each event over many years, but also opens up opportunities for multilateral and multi-sectoral cooperation and association.
