Since its establishment, the Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot ward have proactively and synchronously implemented the guidelines, resolutions and policies of the Party and the State; streamlined the organizational apparatus and operated smoothly; focused on removing difficulties to promote socio-economic development, maintain political security and social order and safety, and gradually affirmed the effectiveness of the two-level local government model.
Accelerating urban economy, improving people's quality of life
The ward was formed on the basis of merging 6 wards and one commune, with a natural area of 7,199 hectares, a population of 169,596 people, a gathering place of more than 25 ethnic groups, of which ethnic minorities account for about 7.7%. With a central location, developed infrastructure and a synchronous service network, Buon Ma Thuot ward is considered a locomotive connecting development between regions of the province and neighboring areas.
In the third quarter of 2025, the ward's economy recorded many positive signals. Trade and service activities continued to develop vigorously, with total revenue estimated at over VND 1,037 billion, reflecting the strong resilience of the urban economy. Enterprises and business households proactively shifted to e-commerce, utility services and modern supply chains, contributing to shaping the appearance of a dynamic urban area.

In addition, urban agricultural production is being restructured towards sustainability, associated with typical products and experiential tourism. The whole ward has 10 products certified by OCOP, of which Kien Cuong civet coffee meets the national 5-star standard, demonstrating the potential to build a local brand associated with Buon Ma Thuot coffee culture.
The basic construction investment work was deployed with 27 projects, total capital of 39.7 billion VND; to date, 20 projects have been completed and put into use, focusing on technical infrastructure, traffic, schools and civil works. State budget revenue by the end of September 2025 reached 79.8 billion VND, equal to 63.3% of the provincial estimate, demonstrating the initiative, determination and efficiency in management.
Education and health care continue to receive attention and synchronous investment. The whole ward has 47 schools with more than 31 thousand students, the completion rate of primary and secondary school programs is over 99%. The rate of people participating in health insurance is 101.43%, one of the areas with the highest insurance coverage in the province, affirming the government's care for social security.

Buon Ma Thuot Ward has identified administrative reform and digital transformation as one of its key tasks. 100% of officials and civil servants are trained in digital skills; administrative records and documents are managed in an electronic environment. The Public Administration Service Center operates effectively, creating convenience for people and businesses.
However, the transformation process is still difficult. The information technology infrastructure is not yet synchronized, 1,521 records have not been fully digitized; the capacity of a number of officials and civil servants is still limited. Overcoming these bottlenecks will be the decisive factor in forming a comprehensive digital government platform, measuring service efficiency and people's satisfaction.
Perfecting the management model, building a modern, serving government
Along with economic development, the work of building the Party, government and political system is focused on. The Buon Ma Thuot Ward Party Committee successfully organized the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term, marking a step of maturity in leadership thinking and innovation in local governance methods. The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have played a good role in bridging, supervising and criticizing, strengthening people's trust in the government.
Political security and social order and safety in the area are maintained. The authorities proactively grasp the situation, promptly handle arising incidents, ensure peace for the people, and contribute to creating a stable environment for socio-economic development.
