Haeco Group (a member of Swire Group - a UK-based multi-industry group) is a world- leading enterprise in the field of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), providing services for fuselages, engines, components and aviation technical training.

Haeco is headquartered in Hong Kong, operating in Asia- Pacific , North America and Europe, serving global airlines and manufacturers, including 16 member companies, has 28 hangars, providing services to more than 300 airlines with more than 16,000 employees.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh welcomed Mr. Richard Sell to visit and work in Vietnam with many ideas, wishes and goodwill to promote and expand cooperation and investment activities in Vietnam.

Mr. Richard Sell said that Haeco Group, Sun Group and partners plan to invest 360 million USD to build an aircraft maintenance complex at Van Don International Airport, Quang Ninh. Recently, the Group signed a 15-year contract with a US partner to maintain and repair the airline's aircraft at the maintenance complex in Van Don, which opens up many opportunities and prospects for cooperation between the Group and Vietnamese partners and other partners in other countries.

To promote the implementation of cooperation activities, Mr. Richard Sell hopes that the Vietnamese Government, ministries, branches and localities will create favorable conditions for the Group, especially with support policies on taxes, premises rental; visa, immigration and housing policies for experts; labor policies, human resource supply;...

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh affirmed that Vietnam always supports and calls on foreign investors to invest in high-tech industries and fields. All high-tech industries and fields in Vietnam have priorities and incentives, and aircraft repair is a high-tech industry, so it has priorities and incentives. Currently, Quang Ninh province and Sun Group have built housing projects that can meet the needs of experts when they come to work in Vietnam.

In this spirit, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister requested Haeco Group to complete investment procedures in Van Don; hoped that the Group would pay attention to training and using local human resources because Vietnamese workers are capable of undertaking and performing tasks in the high-tech field.

At the same time, he requested Mr. Richard Sell to continue to have practical activities to promote other investment cooperation activities in areas where the Group has strengths and Vietnam has needs in the coming time.
