PHU HOA, TUY AN: Deploying summer-autumn crop production activities

Phu Hoa District People's Committee has just held a conference to review the winter-spring crop production of 2024-2025 and deploy the production plan for the summer-autumn crop of 2025.

According to the report, in the 2024-2025 winter-spring crop, the locality has an annual crop area of ​​7,483 hectares, down 0.3% over the same period, of which rice is more than 5,309 hectares, with an average yield of 77.5 quintals/hectare. The entire district has converted 49.3 hectares of ineffective rice to grow other crops such as corn, peanuts, vegetables, food beans, and animal grass.

For summer-autumn rice production in 2025, the sowing time is from May 20 to June 3, prioritizing the use of high-quality rice varieties with a consumer market, such as: DV108, Dai Thom 8, BDR27, PY10... Localities in the district proactively convert ineffective rice growing areas, places without proactive irrigation water sources, to growing annual vegetables with higher economic efficiency.

At the conference, 10 individuals in Phu Hoa district were awarded the medal for the cause of Agriculture and Rural Development.

In the summer-autumn and winter-spring crops of 2025, Tuy An district strives to put into production more than 2,150 hectares and 1,670 hectares of winter-spring crops.
