Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Yoshida Shinji, Director of the Osaka Prefecture Welfare Department - Japan, hoped that the students of Dong A University would study and achieve good results, accumulate many valuable skills and experiences in Osaka - one of the places with the leading nursing technology in Asia; after returning home, they will become valuable human resources, serving the country.
"Internship and work programs in Japan not only contribute to solving the problem of nursing shortage in Japan but also bring great benefits to the future of Vietnam," Mr. Yoshida expressed.
Mr. Yoshida Shinji - Director of Osaka Prefecture Welfare Department, Japan and Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Dao - President of Dong A University signed the cooperation agreement.
According to the signed document, the Osaka Welfare Department is the unit that receives and directly implements the 9-month - 1-year internship program and employment for nursing students of Dong A University at the Osaka medical facility system, Japan. The admission roadmap is from 2024 onwards with 10 students per year.
At the same time, the Osaka Prefecture Welfare Department also supports students of Dong A University to improve their nursing skills as well as receive nursing care jobs when the students come to work in Osaka Prefecture.
After completing the internship program, students will return to school to complete their studies at Dong A University. This is also a preparation stage for students who wish to work in Japan to enter the official work program after graduation or become high-quality human resources at local medical facilities, contributing to the development of their homeland.
According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Dao, Principal of Dong A University, the cooperative relationship with Japan, which is also the strategic orientation of the school, has gone into depth over the past 10 years.
Japan also provides many supports for students in Japanese language training, professional skills and culture to help students integrate and work well. It is expected that each year, Dong A University will send 300-500 students to Japan for internships. The number of students going to Japan will increase every year with the goal of reaching 700-1,000 students/year by 2025.
