Phu Quoc handles 41 cases of violations of forest land

Phu Quoc special zone authorities handle incidents on November 4.

On the morning of November 5, according to information from the Standing Committee of the Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee ( An Giang Province), the locality has just launched a campaign to handle 41 cases of forest land violations in the Dong Cay Sao area. At the same time, 15 cases were measured and recorded, including 12 houses. The authorities have issued invitations to people to come and record the violations.

The People's Committee of Phu Quoc special economic zone has established a team to inspect and handle administrative violations in the Dong Cay Sao area, Ong Lang Cua Duong quarter, and Sub-area 75 of the protective forest in Phu Quoc special economic zone.

The team is responsible for inspecting, drawing up records of administrative violations and handling violations of the law in the fields of forestry and land such as: encroachment and occupation of forest land, deforestation, land managed by State agencies and organizations and illegal construction.

The subjects are individuals and organizations that have committed administrative violations in the fields of forestry, land and illegal construction in the Dong Cay Sao area, Ong Lang Cua Duong quarter, Sub-zone 75 of protective forest in Phu Quoc special zone and some other areas in the locality.

Implementation time until completion of inspection, handling and enforcement of restoration of the original state of the violated land (including restoration of land plot boundaries and landmarks) and handover of land to the management entity (including Saturdays and Sundays).

According to the inspection team's plan, for the Dong Cay Sao area, Ong Lang Cua Duong quarter, Sub-zone 75 of the protective forest in Phu Quoc special zone, the implementation time is from November 4 to 20.

Area of 8 residential areas (old Cua Duong commune) implemented from November 4, 2025 to December 30, 2026.

Regarding land, 96 cases of encroachment on stream land and state-managed land will be inspected; 8 cases of encroachment on state-managed land at Duong Dong Lake; 16 files of Cua Can Lake area (partly in the forest and partly outside the forest). In Dong Cay Sao area, Ong Lang Cua Duong quarter, people have encroached on land and built houses for about 80 households.

Regarding land disputes, initially verify and reconcile 70 land dispute records.

Regarding forest land, 41 cases of encroachment on protective forest land at Dong Cay Sao will be inspected and handled.

Regarding construction, all cases of unlicensed construction on agricultural land, 93 cases of subdivision and separation of plots, and 102 cases of illegal construction of concrete roads will be inspected.

Regarding the environment, minerals will inspect the collection and treatment of waste, acts of environmental pollution, and mineral exploitation and transportation activities.
