Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province Nguyen Huy Ngoc noted that, in the immediate future, it is necessary to invite scientists and road and bridge experts to conduct surveys, evaluate, clarify the causes and propose solutions to overcome the problem.
While waiting for the appraisal results, the Department of Construction will closely coordinate with Doan Hung commune to urgently develop a plan to ensure convenient travel for people on both sides of the river and absolute safety when crossing the river.
In the immediate future, it is necessary to mobilize forces and machinery to repair and rebuild Doan Hung ferry; arrange specialized ferries to transport people and vehicles across Lo River; and resolutely handle owners of ferries and boats that spontaneously transport people across the river.

Strengthen propaganda work so that people can clearly understand information about the current situation of the bridge, not panic, and not share incorrect information on social networking sites.
According to the report of the Department of Construction, immediately after the T3 pillar of Song Lo bridge in Doan Hung commune was damaged, on the afternoon of October 27, the Department of Construction issued a document to organize traffic flow, prohibiting all people and vehicles from passing through the bridge.
The provincial police and Doan Hung commune police re-installed signs, guided and regulated traffic to ensure safety and avoid congestion; road management units were required to monitor and regularly report the bridge status for timely handling, to avoid unfortunate incidents from occurring.
