On the morning of May 30, at the multi-purpose hall of Bac Cuong Primary School, the People's Committee of Bac Cuong Ward held a ceremony to commend and reward outstanding students of the 2022-2023 school year and opened summer activities, launching "Month of Action for Children 2023".
The ceremony is an activity to recognize and praise the learning spirit of students, honoring the tradition of studiousness. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to show the attention of local leaders and authorities to the young generation - the future green buds of the country.
Bac Cuong Ward currently has 6 schools (3 public schools, 3 private schools) with a total of nearly 4,000 students. With the theme "For beloved students; building happy schools; innovation and integration", schools in Bac Cuong Ward are constantly trying and striving to fulfill the key targets and tasks of the 2022-2023 school year, meeting the requirements of innovation, creativity, integration, ensuring the qualityof education and training.
The Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front, socio- political organizations and people in the ward always pay attention to and help children in general and poor children, children in especially difficult circumstances, and children with disabilities, creating the best conditions for children to go to school, study and successfully complete the proposed educational plan.
In the 2022-2023 school year, Bac Cuong ward has 1,172 students winning awards at all levels and medals of all kinds. In particular, there are 254 international awards (including 252 awards from primary schools). Bac Cuong Secondary School is the only secondary school in Lao Cai city to receive collective awards for 3 consecutive years, with products winning the provincial-level Youth, Adolescent, and Children's Creativity Award.
At the ceremony, Bac Cuong ward awarded certificates of merit to 388 students with outstanding achievements in the 2022-2023 school year.
Implementing the "Month of Action for Children 2023", the ward awarded 32 gifts to students in especially difficult circumstances who excel in their studies.
On this occasion, Lao Cai City Youth Union and sponsors donated 30 solar-powered lights worth 45 million VND to Lao Tung hamlet (group 30, Bac Cuong ward). This hamlet has 100% of households being ethnic minorities, and traffic is still difficult.
