Lien Chieu Ward mobilizes resources to implement social security

Lien Chieu Ward completed 100% of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with 58 policy households and poor households receiving support to build new and repair houses, with a total cost of 2.8 billion VND.

On the morning of September 24, Lien Chieu Ward People's Committee held a conference to review social security work in 2024 and the first 8 months of 2025, and deploy tasks for the last months of 2025 and 2026.

In 2024, the whole ward will have 30 households escape poverty, 761 poor people will be granted health insurance cards, and children of disadvantaged households will be exempted from 100% or have 90% reduction in preschool tuition fees.

The ward has completed 100% of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with 58 policy households and poor households receiving support to build new and repair houses, with a total cost of 2.8 billion VND.

Identifying the work of "repaying gratitude" as a priority task, the ward ensures full and timely payment of monthly policies, while providing medical and educational support to people with revolutionary contributions and their relatives. Currently, the ward is managing 1,855 policy beneficiaries.

In the coming time, the ward aims to continue to do well in social security work, striving to reduce 12 more poor households by the end of 2025; promote the model of "community and home care" for elderly and lonely revolutionary contributors.

Implement well the "3 in 1" administrative procedure settlement model, including issuing birth certificates, health insurance cards, and household registration for newborns; increase investment in medical equipment and facilities, improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, and health care for the people.

At the conference, many units, businesses and individuals participated in supporting the social security fund of Lien Chieu ward with a total amount of 310 million VND.
