Linh Nam Ward conducts preliminary examination for military service in 2026: Serious, strict, and following procedures

HNP - On November 8 and 9, at the Ward Health Station, the People's Committee of Linh Nam Ward organized a preliminary examination for military service in 2026.

Linh Nam ward leaders inspected the preliminary examination work on the morning of November 8.

Implementing the Law on Military Service 2015, Law No. 98/2025/QH15 amending and supplementing a number of articles on national defense, along with guiding documents of the Ministry of National Defense and the Hanoi Capital Command, the People's Committee of Linh Nam Ward organized a preliminary health examination for military service for male citizens of military service age in 2026 on November 8 and 9. The activity aims to ensure the source of young people who meet the health, political, cultural and moral requirements to prepare for military recruitment next year.

Citizens are guided by the Ward Military Command to declare information.

The preliminary selection process was carried out with strict procedures, with coordination between the Military Command, Police, Health Station and local organizations. The test contents focused on physical strength, pulse - blood pressure, eye refraction, dermatology, surgery, congenital defects, and at the same time, exploiting personal and family health history. Before that, the Ward Military Service Council had reviewed the political - ethical - cultural standards of each citizen, ensuring the principles of democracy, objectivity, transparency and compliance with the law.

The health examination process is carried out in accordance with the motto "no omissions - no mistakes - no delays"

According to the plan, all citizens with permanent or temporary residence in the ward between the ages of 18 and 25 (except young people who have graduated from colleges and universities up to the age of 27) are eligible for pre-selection. The ward prioritizes the selection of citizens who have graduated from universities and colleges to ensure the quality of the army.

Vice Chairman of Linh Nam Ward People's Committee Duong Van Hoa said: The ward has tightened the preliminary examination process at all stages, "no slippage - no mistakes - no delays", at the same time, ensuring absolute security and order throughout the examination process. Comrade Duong Van Hoa requested the Ward Military Command to closely coordinate with the Ward Health Station to continue to ensure adequate facilities, especially refractive error measuring equipment to accurately check eyesight; the Ward Police proactively screened the population, strictly handled cases of evading military service according to Decree 218/2025/ND-CP; residential groups actively propagated and encouraged young people to participate in examinations on time and in accordance with regulations.

With the proactive preparation and close coordination of the forces and the serious and responsible spirit of local youth, the preliminary examination for military service in 2026 in Linh Nam ward took place safely, according to plan, ensuring the criteria of publicity - fairness - compliance with the law, contributing to affirming the locality's determination in performing well the national defense and security tasks.
