On March 7, Military Region 1 held an online conference to review the results of military and defense tasks in February and deploy tasks for March 2024 with the units under the Military Region. Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai, member of the Party Central Committee and Commander of the Military Region, chaired the meeting.

In February, the Party Standing Committee, the Military Region Command and agencies and units led and directed the comprehensive implementation of military and defense tasks; thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the directives of all levels on organizing the 2024 Lunar New Year to ensure joy, health, safety and economy. Directed agencies and units to strictly maintain combat readiness, grasp the situation, be ready to handle situations, and avoid being passive or surprised.

Agencies and units proactively advise local Party committees and authorities to effectively carry out the 2024 military recruitment work with good results; do a good job of preparing training, education and training for the subjects according to plan; train 203 classes of militia and self-defense officers. Direct the organization of the training launch ceremony according to instructions, practice the transition of status according to plan and organize practice, participate in the parade, and march to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. Maintain discipline, effectively carry out Party work, political work, grasp the ideological situation, and comply with discipline of officers and soldiers; do a good job of mass mobilization, gratitude, and military rear policies. Work to ensure logistics, finance, and technology to meet the requirements of the task.

In March 2024, the Party Committee and the Military Region 1 Command continued to improve the quality of training, strictly maintain combat readiness, rescue and relief regimes, ensure smooth communication, grasp the situation and promptly handle situations. Strictly implement the organizational structure issued by the General Staff and improve it according to the new organizational structure. Strictly maintain the regime and order of Party work and political work, grasp the ideological situation of cadres and soldiers, especially new soldiers enlisted in 2024; organize political education, dissemination and education of law for the subjects.

Strengthen propaganda work towards the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day. Ensure good logistics and finance for performing tasks, maintain meal quality, ensure food hygiene and safety; strictly manage technical equipment, ensure safety in training and live-fire testing, strictly implement fire prevention and fighting at warehouses and stations, and ensure safety when participating in traffic.
