At the meeting, Major General Khuc Thanh Du provided an overview of the global, regional, and domestic situation; the results of military and national defense tasks, army building, and the development of the armed forces of Military Region 3 in the past period. The Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 3 highly appreciated the contributions of senior officers and generals from the Army who have retired or ceased active service in the region; and expressed his hope that these retired senior officers would continue to contribute their opinions and valuable experiences, helping the armed forces of Military Region 3 build a comprehensive national defense system, a national defense posture, and a strong and comprehensive army and military region.

The meeting received heartfelt and responsible opinions from retired senior military officers. All opinions expressed confidence, acknowledged, and highly appreciated the results of leadership and guidance in carrying out military and national defense tasks, building the Party Committee and the Armed Forces of Military Region 3 in recent years. The delegates also exchanged experiences and expressed their desire to continue receiving the attention of the Military Region Command, Party committees, and local authorities at all levels; affirming that regardless of their position, they will always uphold and promote the fine traditions of the Vietnam People's Army and the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.
