Vietnam is a country with many unique values in terms of natural landscapes and cultural heritage, among which cuisine is one of the outstanding elements that attracts tourists to experience. Vietnamese cuisine is rich and diverse, a harmonious combination of a long-standing culture with abundant and diverse ingredients, along with cooking methods and distinctive regional flavors.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Hoa, Director of the Tourism Information Center, Vietnam National Tourism Administration, delivered a speech at the program.
2023 marked a significant milestone in the strategic cooperation between the Tourism Information Center, Vietnam National Tourism Administration, and the MAGGI brand, Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd., with the successful implementation of the "Transforming a Thousand Ingredients, Cooking a Million Vietnamese Dishes" project. Many meaningful activities were carried out within the framework of the project to promote Vietnamese tourism, cuisine, and culture, including: strengthening culinary tourism communication on online platforms, applying technology to support the promotion of culinary tourism, organizing events, and participating in food festivals… Notably, the launch and establishment of the record for the online map with the most Vietnamese dishes contributed by the community, awarded by the Vietnam Record Organization (VietKings), demonstrated the program's appeal to a wide audience.

Following the success of the 2023 cooperation program, on October 1st, 2024, the Tourism Information Center of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration and the MAGGI brand, Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd., announced the 2024 cooperation program with many new and attractive features.
The theme of this year's series of activities is "Unearthing Golden Ingredients, Elevating Vietnamese Cuisine." While 2023 focused on discovering famous dishes on the Vietnamese culinary map, 2024 will concentrate on uncovering "raw gems"—unique local ingredients that are not yet widely known. This aims to celebrate the diversity of Vietnamese culinary culture and develop tourism through novel experiences created by adapting local ingredients.
The main activity of the program is to continue upgrading the online food map platform to version 2.0 with a new interface and many new features, promising to become a continuously updated culinary data repository with information on ingredients and recipes contributed by local people. By participating in and experiencing this new version of the online map, the public will both contribute to promoting unique local ingredients and recipes, and have the opportunity to learn about and experience specialty dishes from various regions across the country, thereby understanding and appreciating the value of diversity and richness in Vietnamese cuisine.

West Lake shrimp cakes may not be a gourmet dish, but they have become ingrained in the memories of generations of Hanoians. Hanoi shrimp cakes are an indispensable part of afternoon strolls after work. Breathing in the fragrant aroma and savoring the crispy, sweet, and tender texture of the cakes will surely leave you with many unforgettable memories.
In particular, the 2024 program will offer the public hands-on experiences with local ingredients and signature dishes through a series of activities in collaboration with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) to promote Vietnam's rich culinary culture to tourists, contributing to strengthening Vietnam's unique culinary tourism brand.

Mr. Tran Duy Vu, Director of the Food Division at Nestlé Vietnam, stated: "The MAGGI brand not only accompanies every Vietnamese meal but also aims to contribute to elevating the culinary tourism experience in Vietnam, spreading positive values through rich local ingredients and dishes. The initial phase of the project "Transforming a Thousand Ingredients, Cooking a Million Vietnamese Dishes," in collaboration with the Tourism Information Center of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, has yielded very positive results, and the MAGGI brand will continue its strategic cooperation in 2024 to jointly promote culinary tourism with the theme "Unleashing Golden Ingredients, Celebrating Vietnamese Cuisine." This year's series of activities will feature many creative highlights to encourage contributions and enrich the online culinary map, thereby bringing the identity of Vietnamese cuisine to people nationwide and internationally, boosting the tourism potential of provinces and cities, and positioning Vietnam as a colorful and unique destination on the global tourism and culinary map. gender".

According to Mr. Hoang Quoc Hoa, Director of the Tourism Information Center, Vietnam National Tourism Administration: "Strengthening the application of technology and digital transformation in tourism communication and promotion activities is one of the key orientations of the tourism industry. The Tourism Information Center, as the focal point of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration in implementing communication, promotion, and digital transformation activities in the tourism sector, will continue to cooperate closely with partners in the industry to promote these activities.
