
Earlier, due to heavy rain, at around 6 PM on the same day, landslides occurred on this road. In some locations, trees fell onto the road, causing traffic difficulties.
Due to heavy rain and darkness, rescue forces had considerable difficulty accessing the scene and clearing the area. No casualties or property damage have been reported so far.
Lam Son commune mobilized its forces and coordinated with Lam Dong province to be on standby and regulate traffic through the area.
According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, from October 27th to 29th, the entire province of Khanh Hoa will experience moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain; the average rainfall in the northern part of the province will be 60-100mm, with some areas reaching 60mm/3 hours.
The southern area of Khanh Hoa province is expected to receive 20-60mm of rainfall. Thunderstorms may be accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds, easily causing roof damage, tree uprooting, and injuries to people and livestock. Residents are advised to proactively take preventative measures to ensure the safety of themselves and their property.
