The Political Department of Military Region 4 celebrates its 80th anniversary and receives the First Class Order of National Defense.

On December 14th, the Political Department of Military Region 4 solemnly organized a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of its founding (December 16, 1945 - December 16, 2025) and to receive the First Class Order of National Defense.

General Phan Van Giang - Member of the Political Bureau, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense - sent a letter of commendation, acknowledging and praising the great contributions of the Political Department of Military Region 4 to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Attending the ceremony were: Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Commander of the Military Region; Major General Doan Xuan Buong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Military Region; members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Heads of the Command, former Heads of the Military Region Command; members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Heads of the Political Department, former Heads of the Political Department of the Military Region; representatives of the Board of Directors of Vinh University; and representatives of the leadership of Truong Vinh ward (Nghe An province).

Eighty years ago, on December 16, 1945, the Political Department of Military Zone 4 was established, laying the foundation for the birth and development of the Political Department of Military Region 4 today. From those difficult early days, Party work and political work have always been closely linked to the building, fighting, and maturation of the armed forces of the Military Region, contributing to strengthening political resolve and building confidence and fighting spirit among officers and soldiers.

During the resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, the Political Department closely followed battlefield realities, effectively carried out education and mobilization work, and maximized political and spiritual strength, contributing to resounding victories in the strategic area of ​​Military Region 4, and together with the army and people of the whole country, achieved complete victory and national reunification.

On this occasion, acting on behalf of the President of Vietnam, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh, Commander of Military Region 4, presented the First Class Order of National Defense to the Political Department of Military Region 4.
