Quang Nam discusses solutions to improve the quality of cultural titles

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in recent years, the work of mobilizing, registering, evaluating and recognizing the titles of cultural families and cultural villages and hamlets has been implemented by localities with many remarkable results. In 2023, the whole province had 384,446/419,963 households meeting cultural standards, accounting for 91.6%, an increase of 0.8% compared to 2022; 1,100/1,240 villages and blocks meeting cultural standards, accounting for 88.7%, an increase of 2% compared to 2022.

At the seminar, representatives of the Department of Culture and Information of districts, towns and cities gave their opinions on experiences in building and improving the quality of cultural titles in recent times; building cultural villages associated with building cultural criteria, aiming to build new rural districts; building cultural institutions associated with building cultural villages and proposing solutions in the coming time to build and improve the quality of cultural titles.

Delegates focused on discussing, giving opinions and suggestions on the draft scoring scale, detailing each content in the scoring table for the titles of cultural families, cultural villages, and typical communes; detailed regulations on the order, procedures, and records for considering and awarding titles; bonus points, penalties, etc. to encourage and motivate the movement at the grassroots level.

Concluding the discussion, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tao Viet Hai said that the department fully accepted the opinions of the delegates at the discussion, continued to study the appropriate conditions and standards to complete the draft of the detailed regulations on standards and procedures, dossiers for considering and awarding cultural titles, and scoring tables for reviewing and recognizing cultural titles. Conduct consultation with departments, branches and localities before advising on promulgation; the promulgation deadline must be before June 30, 2024.

“After the above detailed regulations are in place, a plan will be developed to organize training, implementation, and guidance for localities to ensure effective implementation, making the titles increasingly practical.
At the same time, the department worked with relevant agencies to agree on the content of advising the Provincial People's Committee to add cultural titles to the province's emulation and reward regulations in accordance with the spirit of Decree No. 98 dated December 31, 2023 of the Prime Minister " - Mr. Hai said.
