Sao Mai factory is invested on an area of over 50,000 m², with a total capital of 500 billion VND, equipped with modern production lines imported from Italy, meeting strict international standards such as FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher, FDA, GACC. The designed capacity reaches 10,000 tons of products per year, with expected revenue of about 100 million USD/year. When put into operation, the factory will create stable jobs for hundreds of local workers, with an average income of over 12 million VND/person/month, while contributing positively to the provincial budget.
The factory's main products include juices, concentrated juices, fresh fruits, dried fruits, freeze-dried cordyceps, and fruit and herbal wines. In addition, the company is developing an ecosystem of high-quality processed agricultural products to serve both the domestic market and export to the US, Europe, Japan, Korea, and China.
In parallel with the construction of the factory, Sao Mai Company has developed a raw material area of more than 2,000 hectares in Quang Ngai , focusing on key crops such as passion fruit, pineapple, mango, guava, and orange. The company accompanies farmers from the stage of supplying seeds, transferring techniques, guiding cultivation to consuming products. This is a strategic direction to form a sustainable production - processing - consumption chain, increasing the added value of local agricultural products.
Ms. Tran Phuong Anh, General Director of Sao Mai Agricultural Products Processing Joint Stock Company affirmed: “Sao Mai's success is only truly sustainable when farmers' lives are improved. Sao Mai factory is not only a production facility but also a connecting center, realizing the aspiration to increase sustainable value for Vietnamese agricultural products and conquer the global market” .
In particular, Sao Mai pioneered the application of green agriculture and circular agriculture models. The factory invested in an advanced wastewater treatment system, used a biological boiler, combined with solar energy to reduce emissions and save costs; at the same time, implemented comprehensive digital transformation, applied the ERP system to optimize production management and product quality.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized: "Sao Mai project not only contributes to increasing the value of agricultural products, creating jobs for workers, but is also a clear demonstration of the province's correct investment attraction policy in recent times. The success of the enterprise is also the success of the province" . The Chairman requested Sao Mai Company to soon stabilize production, carefully prepare raw material areas, diversify products, strictly manage production processes and strictly comply with environmental protection regulations.
Provincial leaders also affirmed that they will continue to accompany, remove difficulties, and create favorable conditions for businesses, including Sao Mai Company, to develop sustainably.
The inauguration of Sao Mai Agricultural and Medicinal Processing Factory marks an important step forward in the agricultural processing industry of Quang Ngai province, contributing to the goal of restructuring agriculture towards modernity and sustainability; at the same time, opening up new prospects for Vietnamese agricultural products to increase their competitiveness and reach international standards.
