On the evening of October 20th, the national costume competition of Miss Grand International 2024 took place in Bangkok, Thailand. 69 contestants showcased unique traditional costumes, reflecting the essence of their respective cultures and national beauty.
Vietnam's representative, Vo Le Que Anh, showcased a mother-of-pearl inlay design by designer Nguyen Ngoc Tu. The outfit impressed with its exquisite mother-of-pearl patterns, reflecting traditional Vietnamese craftsmanship. Despite the bulky design with four large screens strapped to her back, Que Anh confidently strode across the stage and performed graceful fan-twirling movements, creating a visually stunning effect.

Laos' representative, Pimai Vongsomphou, wore an outfit that embodied the image of the "land of a million elephants." Her unique design included models of three large elephants, combined with images of the ancient Wat Phou temple.
María José Vera from Ecuador stunned fans by bringing numerous props onto the stage and constantly changing her appearance in impressive ways. She moved gracefully despite wearing a rather cumbersome costume.
Miss England - Amy Viranya Berry transformed herself into the White Queen from the classic film "Alice in Wonderland".Miss Spain, Susana Medina, wore an outfit called "Goddess Lynxes," inspired by the Iberian lynx. The design not only showcased powerful beauty but also called for the protection of this endangered species.Paraguay's representative, Sharon Capó Nara, appeared in a costume inspired by the seven legendary Guarani monsters.Guatemalan beauty Cristina Gonzalo presented a design that celebrated the majestic beauty of nature. Representatives from Nicaragua, Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia, and El Salvador showcased Latin American culture with familiar elements such as feathers and fangs.
Following the national costume show, the Miss Grand International 2024 contestants will prepare for two important competitions: the semi-finals (October 22nd) and the finals (October 25th). The reigning Miss Grand International 2023, Lucia Fuster from Peru, will officially crown her successor.
