Comrade Truong My Hoa, former Vice President, Chairman of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, Chairman of the Club for Beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa and Comrade Dang Ngoc Tung, former Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs' Cemetery.
In a solemn atmosphere at the HCM City Martyrs Cemetery (Long Binh Ward, HCM City), the delegation offered incense to commemorate more than 14,300 heroic martyrs. Former Vice President Truong My Hoa recounts a difficult time when she was imprisoned by the enemy.
Former Vice President Truong My Hoa was moved: "I am lucky to live and witness the country's independence. I always keep in mind that I must live fully, and as long as I have the strength, I will contribute to the Fatherland, in place of my fallen comrades."
Ms. Dang Thi Kim Oanh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Kim Oanh Group, shared: “We always consider gratitude activities as an indispensable part of the business development journey. This is not only an opportunity to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs but also a vivid lesson for the younger generation to nurture the spirit of patriotism and gratitude.”
Ms. Dang Thi Kim Oanh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Kim Oanh Group, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the "Starting from the Heart" Fund, offered a flower basket at the Temple of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers at the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs' Cemetery.
Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Kim Oanh Group also expressed her concerns about a passionate project that she has always been concerned about – building a multilingual commentary system using headphones at historical relics and tourist attractions in Con Dao.
According to Ms. Dang Thi Kim Oanh, recreating history in diverse and independent languages will not only help Vietnamese descendants understand more deeply about the nation's glorious past, but also create conditions for international tourists to feel that sacred historical value in a complete and authentic way.
The delegation observed a minute of silence to express gratitude to the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.
After the incense offering ceremony, the delegation continued their journey of gratitude by visiting and giving gifts to 10 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, seriously wounded soldiers and former political prisoners in Ho Chi Minh City, including Mother Tran Thi Tu (95 years old, residing in Hiep Binh ward).
The delegation visited and gave gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Tu.
Mother Tu has three children, one of whom was lost at the age of 7, and the other heroically sacrificed himself in the war against America. Currently, Mother lives with her remaining son, who is well cared for by her children and grandchildren. When the delegation visited, Mother choked up as she recalled the painful moment she received the news of her son's death.
“There is no pain greater than seeing your child go and never return. But my child fell so that the Fatherland could be what it is today,” she said.
On this occasion, the "Starting from the Heart" Fund and the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund also went to Tan Dong commune, Dong Thap province (formerly Tien Giang province), presenting 110 gifts to policy families.
The Fund also gave 117 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and veterans in Hue City.
With a total budget of more than 200 million VND, the program is not only a gratitude but also an opportunity for Kim Oanh Group's officers and employees to learn and remember history, while spreading the spirit of "When drinking water, remember its source" through practical actions.
