Launching the first international standard Data Protection and Recovery Center in Vietnam

On November 5 in Hanoi , the FSI DDS Data Recovery and Protection Center (FSI DDS - Data Recovery & Protection Center) was officially launched. This is the first Center in Vietnam with professional data recovery and protection services according to international standards, providing solutions for recovering, protecting and securely deleting data.

This is the result of strategic cooperation between FSI and DDS Japan - a digital data solution company for data recovery and protection in Japan.

Ms. Do Thu Thuy - CEO of FSI DDS shared that in the first phase, this Center will deploy 5 specialized solution groups including: Data recovery, Data protection, Thorough data deletion, Digital forensics and Consulting and Deployment of solutions against data theft.

These five groups will form a closed ecosystem, helping users and businesses proactively protect the entire data lifecycle, from storage, operation to safe destruction.

The services are operated on a technology platform directly transferred from DDS Japan. The international standard lab system, along with equipment imported from Japan, the US, Germany and exclusive software developed by DDS, helps FSI DDS achieve a successful data recovery rate of up to 91.5%, equivalent to the highest level in Japan.

In particular, leading Japanese engineers are working directly in Vietnam, taking charge of training and supervising service quality.

In recent years, the digital transformation process in Vietnam and Southeast Asia has been taking place strongly, with the participation of the Government , ministries and the business community.

With the increasing awareness of the value of data, many organizations and businesses have invested heavily in collecting, storing and effectively exploiting data to serve production and business activities and decision making. However, along with the speed of data digitization, Vietnam also faces an increasing risk of data loss and information leakage.

According to the announcement of the Vietnam National Cyber Security Association, in 2024, there will be more than 659,000 cyber attacks, in which damage from ransomware and data leaks will be particularly serious.

A survey by Acronis and EaseUS also showed that 64% of users have lost data at least once in their personal or work lives, and 29% of incidents originated from users' own mistakes, such as mistaken deletion, incorrect formatting or software errors.

According to experts, most data loss cases start from very normal errors such as mistaken deletion, mistaken formatting, virus infection, encryption by ransomware or operating system update errors...

More dangerously, self-repairing with software of unknown origin, or handing the device over to a center that does not meet safety standards, can cause data to "go from temporarily unusable to permanently lost."

Therefore, according to Mr. Nguyen Hung Son, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FSI DDS, proactively recovering and protecting data is not only a technical need, but also a part of the digital security culture. Mr. Son believes that the market for recovering and protecting data in Vietnam will grow very quickly compared to the world in the near future./.
