Reviewing preparations for the online meeting between the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Parliamentarians' Group

On the afternoon of October 31, at the National Assembly House, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh chaired a working session with agencies on coordination in preparation for the online meeting between the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Parliamentarians' Group and the Cooperation Group with the Vietnamese National Assembly of the Russian Federation Council.

Attending the meeting were: Vice Chairman of the National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Committee Nguyen Manh Tien; Vice Chairman of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee Dinh Cong Sy; Vice Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee Doan Thi Thanh Mai; representatives of leaders of departments and units under the National Assembly Office.

According to the draft Plan, the online meeting between the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Parliamentarians' Group and the Cooperation Group with the Vietnamese National Assembly of the Russian Federation Council is scheduled to take place at 2:00 p.m. on November 7, 2025 (Vietnam time) at the National Assembly House.

The meeting was held to discuss preparations for the visit to Vietnam of the Cooperation Group with the National Assembly of Vietnam of the Russian Federation Council and other related contents, thereby contributing to strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation; promoting parliamentary cooperation in general, between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the Russian Federation Council in particular; and improving the effectiveness of coordination between the two countries' National Assemblies in bilateral and multilateral parliamentary activities.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh emphasized that the meeting between the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Parliamentarians' Group and the Cooperation Group with the Vietnamese National Assembly of the Russian Federation Council is an activity of important political significance.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly asked delegates to directly give comments on the content of the online meeting, the detailed agenda of the meeting, the participants, preparations for logistics, reception, and technical services for online meetings...

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly assigned the Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the National Assembly to discuss and reach an agreement with relevant agencies of the Federation Council of Russia and the Embassies of the two countries on the time, program, and participants of the meeting; prepare the content of the speech and exchange of the Vietnamese side; summarize and report the results of the meeting.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinates with the Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs to prepare content for the meeting; sends interpreters to attend; supports document translation (if necessary); directs the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation to closely coordinate with relevant agencies of the Russian Federation Council in the preparation work.

The Office of the National Assembly shall take charge of ensuring logistics, technical work, transmission lines and reception at the meeting location in Hanoi; arrange the location, online meeting equipment and other necessary conditions to serve the meeting; especially ensuring transmission quality throughout the meeting.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested the Nationalities Council and the National Assembly Committees to actively coordinate with the Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs, and report relevant information in their assigned fields to serve the meeting./.
