In the second round of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, Portugal easily defeated Luxembourg 6-0 away from home. Ronaldo contributed greatly with a double goal and scored points in the eyes of new coach Roberto Martinez.

After scoring the goal, the Portuguese star also made an impression with his unique celebration. After opening the scoring in the 9th minute, the striker born in 1985 ran to the corner of the pitch as usual and jumped into the air to perform his signature "siuuu" celebration.
Upon landing, Ronaldo raised both hands to his chest and made a gesture believed to mimic sleeping movements. As his teammates rushed to congratulate him, Ronaldo closed his eyes and looked up at the sky.
Ronaldo's new celebration style is expected to become a trend around the world in the near future. Previously, he went viral with his hand-clasping celebration after scoring against Everton in October. Many players around the world have learned this style from CR7 after scoring.
In October 2023, Portugal will reconvene to play their next two Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Bosnia and Iceland.
