On May 12, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation will compete in 17 sports. The highlight will be the semi-final match of the Women's Football event between Vietnam and Cambodia at 7 p.m.
The gold medal hopes of the Vietnamese team in Athletics are Ngan Ngoc Nghia (men's 100m), Pham Thi Hong Le, Nguyen Thi Oanh (women's 10,000m) and the women's 4x400m relay team. By the end of May 11, the Vietnamese Athletics team had won a total of 10 gold medals, still missing 4 to reach the goal of winning 14-16 gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games. This is a great pressure for Nguyen Thi Oanh and her teammates on the final day of Athletics competition.
In addition, Vietnamese athletes competed in 8 diving events. At the 31st SEA Games, the Vietnamese delegation won 10 gold medals out of a total of 13 sets of medals in this event.
In Wushu, the Vietnamese team will compete in 5 final matches. In addition, Duong Thuy Vi will continue to compete in the long punch event.
