Meanwhile, in the Sanshou event, our five fighters all won their semi-final matches to qualify for the finals. Specifically, Do Huy Hoang defeated Mao Muychantharith (Cambodia) 2-0 in the men's 56kg event; Bui Truong Giang defeated Bayu Raka Putra (Indonesia) 2-0 in the men's 60kg event; Truong Van Chuong defeated Chanachai Kamolklang (Thailand) 2-0 in the men's 65kg event; Dinh Van Bi defeated Chang Vicky Hwa (Malaysia) 2-0 in the men's 70kg event and Nguyen Thi Lan defeated Jenifer Sumagang (Philippines) 2-0 in the women's 48kg event. The final matches will take place tomorrow, May 12.

The Kun Khmer category continued to contribute to the overall achievements of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation with 2 Gold medals. Boxer Bui Yen Ly won the Gold medal in the women's 57kg category after defeating the host opponent Sreyphin Toun in the final with a score of 30-26. Boxer Trieu Thi Phuong Thuy also excellently defeated another opponent from the host country Cambodia, Soeng Moeuy, with a score of 30-27 in the final to win the 2nd Gold medal of the day for Kun Khmer Vietnam.

Thus, at the end of Kun Khmer, the Vietnamese team won 5 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 4 bronze medals, ranking 2nd overall. As a martial art, the host Cambodia won first place overall with 14 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.

In Athletics, athletes continued to contribute 3 Gold medals to the Gold list of Vietnam Sports. Accordingly, Nguyen Thi Huyen successfully defended her Gold medal in the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 56.29 seconds. Also in this event, Nguyen Thi Ngoc won a Bronze medal.

The second Gold Medal of Vietnam Athletics belongs to young athlete Nguyen Thi Thu Ha. The girl from Nam Dinh surprised everyone when she won the Gold Medal in the women's 800m event in her first SEA Games. In this event, Bui Thi Ngan won the Silver Medal. Athletics ended the competition day on May 11 with the Gold Medal of athlete Nguyen Linh Na in the heptathlon event.

On the green track, swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang successfully defended his regional No. 1 position in the men's 400m freestyle with a time of 3 minutes 49 seconds 50. However, Huy Hoang failed in the 200m butterfly event, finishing in 4th place. Having to compete in two events within 10 minutes meant that Huy Hoang was not at his best in the butterfly event.

In this event, swimmer Ho Nguyen Duy Khoa won the Bronze medal. In the men's 50m breaststroke, Pham Thanh Bao only finished in 5th place. Meanwhile, the Gold medal winner was athlete Felix Viktor Iberle of Indonesia. This is also a SEA Games record. Thus, Thanh Bao closed the 32nd SEA Games with 2 Gold medals and 2 SEA Games records in the 100m breaststroke and 200m breaststroke.

The final match of 3-cushion carom billiards took place between two Vietnamese players, Nguyen Duc Anh Chien and Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu. Accordingly, Thanh Tu surpassed his compatriot to win the Gold medal for Vietnamese Billiards.

On May 11, Fencing entered the first day of competition at the 32nd SEA Games. Accordingly, fencer Nguyen Tien Nhat only won a Bronze medal in the men's triple edge single sword event when he lost to Jian Tong Si (Singapore) with a score of 12 - 15. This is the first medal of Vietnamese fencing at this congress.

In the women's singles event of Tennis, tennis player Savanna Ly Nguyen won the right to enter the semi-finals after defeating Sue Yan Tan (Singapore) in the quarter-finals with a final score of 2 - 1. Savanna Ly Nguyen's opponent in the semi-finals is Thai tennis player Lanlana Tararudee.

In the men's singles event, tennis player Ly Hoang Nam unexpectedly lost 0-2 (1-6, 2-6) to tennis player Anthony Susanto (Indonesia) in the quarter-finals. In the men's singles tennis event at the SEA Games, Ly Hoang Nam was the champion in 2 consecutive tournaments. Unfortunately, at the 32nd SEA Games, he could not successfully defend his gold medal. Also in this event, tennis player Trinh Linh Giang stopped in the quarter-finals against Fitriadi (Indonesia).

The men's doubles Nguyen Dac Tien/Nguyen Van Phuong won the right to enter the semi-finals after winning 2-1 against the pair Yuttana/Palaphoom (Thailand). In the semi-finals, our men's doubles will meet the Philippines team, the match will take place on May 12.

On May 12, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation will compete in 17 sports. The highlight will be the semi-final match of the Women's Football event between Vietnam and Cambodia at 7 p.m.

The gold medal hopes of the Vietnamese team in Athletics are Ngan Ngoc Nghia (men's 100m), Pham Thi Hong Le, Nguyen Thi Oanh (women's 10,000m) and the women's 4x400m relay team. By the end of May 11, the Vietnamese Athletics team had won a total of 10 gold medals, still missing 4 to reach the goal of winning 14-16 gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games. This is a great pressure for Nguyen Thi Oanh and her teammates on the final day of Athletics competition.

In addition, Vietnamese athletes competed in 8 diving events. At the 31st SEA Games, the Vietnamese delegation won 10 gold medals out of a total of 13 sets of medals in this event.

In Wushu, the Vietnamese team will compete in 5 final matches. In addition, Duong Thuy Vi will continue to compete in the long punch event.
