Tighten management of student phones in schools

At the same time, schools and educational institutions are required to collect and manage students' and learners' mobile phones before the first class of each session (regular, extracurricular, review...). The devices will be returned after the class ends.

The tightening of the management of mobile phones in schools is based on regulations and instructions issued by the Ministry of Education and Training in recent years. Accordingly, the Ministry stipulates that "using mobile phones and other devices during class that are not for learning purposes and are not permitted by teachers" is an act that students are not allowed to do.

In addition, the Ministry also stipulates that teachers are not required to equip students with mobile phones for learning purposes. Teachers can allow students to use phones to support learning activities if they see fit, but must still design lesson plans that do not require all students to have phones, ensuring that students without phones can still study.

Recently, many localities have tightened the management of cell phones in schools and received the agreement and support from teachers and parents. A few days ago, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training also issued a similar document, requiring educational institutions in the system to strictly manage the use of cell phones and electronic devices in schools.

The above regulation stems from the fact that the use of mobile phones and electronic devices greatly affects the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning. In addition, parents are also worried that their children may be affected by harmful content on the internet.
