Exciting Sailing, Parasailing, and Jet Ski Festival “Overcoming the Waves of Ha Long - 2024”

At 5:30 p.m. on August 24, at the curved bridge area in front of Vincom Ha Long Commercial Center and Ha Long Flower Park, Ha Long City People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the Sailboat, Parasailing, and Jet Ski Festival with the theme "Overcoming Ha Long Waves - 2024". The festival brought to the people and tourists a unique, fresh, vibrant, attractive and fascinating atmosphere.

The festival is organized by the People's Committee of Ha Long City, with the participation and support of Ha Long Sailing Club; Sky Rider Parasailing of Gio Bien Sports and Tourism Joint Stock Company; Silver Surf Vietnam Jet Ski Club; VMES Yacht Services Co., Ltd.; Ha Long Jet Ski Club and related clubs and businesses.

The festival featured many exciting performances of water and air sports.

Within the framework of the Festival, there were attractive performances of a series of water and air sports such as: Sailing parade, artistic jet ski performance running in formation, national flag parade; paragliding performance in the air carrying the national flag; on the bay surface, jet skis and skateboards running in formation performing fireworks, national flags with LED lights...

Previously, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on August 24, the sailboat team departed from Tuan Chau beach and moved to Ocean Park beach; continuing the parade to the beach opposite Ha Long Flower Park. At the end of the parade, the sailboat team gathered in formation to prepare for a performance with parachutes, jet skis and jet skis.

Club members participating in the festival confidently demonstrated their skills, performance abilities, and best vehicle control, creating beautiful, eye-catching images for the people and tourists participating in the festival.

From 5pm to 9pm on August 24, 12 jet skis will perform in formation, parading with the national flag. The motor ski team will depart from Hon Gai Passenger Port along the coast to the coastal area opposite Ha Long Flower Park. At the same time, the jet ski team will perform around the coastal area opposite Ha Long Flower Park; the parasailing team will depart from 30/10 Square and also enter the performance area on the coast opposite Ha Long Flower Park. This is also the highlight of the program "Overcoming the Waves of Ha Long - 2024".

The organization of the festival aims to build the city's annual sailing festival. This activity also contributes to promoting tourism , the image of the land and people of Ha Long - Quang Ninh; creating new experiential tourism products for visitors; creating a playground for those who love adventure sports, such as sailing, jet skiing, jet skiing, paragliding, and parasailing, both domestically and internationally, to gather in Ha Long City.

Many delegates, people and tourists were delighted to witness the eye-catching performances at the festival.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Vice Chairman of Ha Long City People's Committee affirmed: This is one of the unique festivals and cultural, sports and tourism events hosted by enterprises, accompanying the city to organize, thereby contributing to realizing the goal of the Project to build "Ha Long - Festival City", the goal of building Ha Long City - a national tourist city of international stature and realizing the goal of attracting over 10 million tourists to Ha Long City in 2024. The city also hopes that the organization of the festival will continue to bring interesting experiences to people and tourists when they are present in Ha Long.
