After the severe damage caused by floods from May 2025 until now, Son La province is urgently reviewing and synthesizing the need for support to remove temporary and dilapidated houses, with the determination to help people have safe and stable housing before the New Year holiday this year.

According to statistics, from 2020 to now, Son La has supported the elimination of more than 12,660 temporary and dilapidated houses, with a total cost of nearly 630 billion VND, of which more than 443 billion VND was mobilized from socialized sources. These efforts demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and cooperation of the entire political system and community in the journey for social security and sustainable poverty reduction.

In 2025, prolonged floods caused more than 2,500 households in the province to have urgent housing needs. The Provincial People's Committee directed departments, branches and local authorities to carefully review and ensure support for the right beneficiaries, openly and transparently, while maximizing the mobilization of resources from national target programs and social contributions.
