Son La: Online conference to review experience in military recruitment in 2025 and deploy military recruitment in 2026

(sonla.gov.vn) On the afternoon of October 21, Military Region 2 held a conference to review experiences in military recruitment in 2025 and deploy military recruitment tasks in 2026. Major General Nguyen Van Xuan, Deputy Commander of the Military Region chaired the conference. Attending and chairing at the Son La provincial bridge point were comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Military Command, provincial departments, branches and sectors; Regional Defense Commands and 75 communes and wards.

In 2025, the military recruitment work will be led, directed, thoroughly grasped and implemented synchronously and in accordance with regulations by local Party committees and authorities, commanders of agencies and units at all levels, ensuring "publicity, fairness, democracy, strictness and anti-negativity". The coordination and collaboration between localities and military units will be unified and close; 100% of assigned targets will be completed to ensure safety. In 2026, the forecasted military recruitment targets for military and police units will increase compared to 2025.

Based on the opinions of the delegates, concluding the Conference, Major General Nguyen Van Xuan, Deputy Commander of Military Region 2 requested: Agencies, units and localities focus on leadership, direction and synchronous and effective implementation to ensure 100% of the target of receiving and handing over citizens to join the army in 2026. Focus on improving the quality of citizens joining the army to ensure standards of age, political qualities, health, culture; thoroughly grasp and strictly implement documents, instructions and regulations on military recruitment, ensuring "Democracy, publicity, fairness, and compliance with the law". Promote the role and responsibility of each member of the Military Service Council from the commune to the provincial level, especially the leader; focus on doing better the work of propaganda, dissemination and education of law in many diverse forms at all levels and sectors for the people and youth, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, military enlistment days, and enthusiasm to join the army; Implement well the regime and policies for citizens joining the army, do a good job in the army's rear area. Carefully prepare the military handover ceremony at the regional or commune defense command according to the instructions of superiors, ensuring solemnity, safety and economy.
