According to AVP, on May 1st, as part of military operations in the direction of Kurakhovsky, Russian Su-34NVO bombers used high-precision missiles to target several strategically important targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Kh-59MK missiles used in this attack accurately struck strategic logistics centers in Ukraine. These centers play a crucial role in supplying the Ukrainian army.

In another attack, the Russian military used Kh-31PD missiles equipped with Ramjet engines. This type of missile is designed to target radar stations, which can significantly reduce the effectiveness of enemy air defense systems.
The Russian Su-34NVO has been upgraded to launch hypersonic missiles and long-range cruise missiles. While cruise missiles and hypersonic missiles themselves are not new, they were previously absent from the Su-34's weapon systems. Integrating these weapons onto the Su-34 is a novel solution aimed at increasing its combat versatility. In the current tense situation, the effective use of multiple missile types affirms Russia's strategic air advantage.
Also on May 1st, the Russian military launched a new offensive on the city of Odesa. Local authorities confirmed the airstrikes but did not officially disclose the targets.
According to the Ukrainian military, the city was hit by three Russian Iskander-M missiles. At least three large explosions have been confirmed within the city.

Among the attacks was one targeting Kulikovo Square in the city center. The headquarters of the Southern Operational Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is located there. Following the airstrike, the square was immediately sealed off by Ukrainian troops and officers from the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU). According to witnesses, numerous ambulances were seen heading in that direction.
Numerous other Russian attacks have also been reported in the area around the local railway station, which serves as a hub for transporting ammunition and military equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
