New life of a movement

After the merger of administrative units, the movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” in Thai Nguyen province has taken on a new vitality. From residential areas in the provincial administrative center to remote villages of Bang Thanh, Nghien Loan, Bang Van…, an exciting atmosphere has spread. People enthusiastically participate in patriotic emulation movements, joining hands to contribute to changing the face of their homeland.

For many years now, the movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” has become familiar to all people. Evidence shows that on average in the last 5 years, the old Thai Nguyen province has 90% of households achieving cultural family status/year; the number of hamlets, villages, and residential groups achieving cultural standards is over 90%/year. The old Bac Kan province has 93% of households achieving cultural family status/year; the number of hamlets, villages, and residential groups achieving cultural standards is nearly 91%/year.

After the merger, the Movement entered a new phase with a new spirit. Every household was excited to compete, especially in the "mutual love" activities to support poor and near-poor households to stabilize their lives. Thousands of solidarity houses were built and given to poor households. Billions of dong in capital were promptly supported for poor households to develop their family economy .

Mr. Duong Van Hau, Pu Lung village, Nam Cuong commune, a prestigious person among ethnic minorities, said: The movement has long been "rooted" in the daily life of each family. But in the new stage since the merger of the province, most households in the village are excited to compete, creating a new atmosphere to further improve the quality of the Movement. Of particular concern is that people do not listen to the instigation of bad people, do not follow strange "evil religions", are dedicated to doing business, and comply with the State's policies and laws.

Also in Nam Cuong commune, Mr. Vu Trung Huan, a member of the Front Working Committee of Phieng Ca - Con Poong village, said: It has become a habit for villagers to actively participate in activities to preserve and promote national cultural identity such as: Bowl dance and Then singing of the Tay people; embroidery and the Cap Sac ceremony of the Dao people.

Through cultural and artistic activities and mutual support in production, people regularly meet and share experiences in developing family economy, preserving happiness, and being vigilant against the enemy's sabotage plots.

An advantage in implementing the Movement is that most residential areas have cultural houses as meeting places, gathering places, and propaganda about the Party's policies and the State's laws.

Currently, in the whole province, 80/92 communes and wards have Cultural - Sports Centers or Cultural Houses. At the village, hamlet and residential group levels, there are 3,051/3,143 cultural houses - Sports Areas built by the people in response to the State.

In addition to meetings and propaganda about new policies of the Party and the State, the cultural house is also the place where the residential front committee disseminates to the people the contents of the Movement, the contents of the conventions, village, hamlet, and residential group conventions that have been agreed upon and approved by the competent authority. This is also the place for people to participate in cultural, artistic, and sports club activities.

From the Movement, thousands of cultural and artistic clubs, sports, security and order, and happy family building clubs have emerged. Effective models are increasingly spreading widely such as the model of "Civilized residential area", "Bright - green - clean - beautiful residential area", "Traffic safe residential area", "Residential area protecting the environment and responding to climate change"...

It can be affirmed that after the merger, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been breathing new life into the community life in Thai Nguyen. The results of the Movement contribute to building a healthy and rich cultural life; at the same time, arousing the spirit of solidarity, attachment, encouraging people to agree to build Thai Nguyen homeland to be more and more civilized and prosperous.
