Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day with the participation of More than 300 people including 54 ethnic groups from 63 provinces and cities, and village elders, village chiefs, artisans, and prestigious people with many achievements in preserving, maintaining, and promoting traditional cultural values of 63 provinces and centrally-run cities; ethnic artisans and prestigious people representing ethnic groups with daily activities in the Village.
Village elders, village chiefs, artisans, and prestigious people with many achievements and contributions to the conservation, preservation, and promotion of traditional cultural values in the locality will participate in the ceremony to report achievements and visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum.
Within the framework of the Festival, there will be many activities such as: Conference to honor village elders, village chiefs, artisans, and prestigious people with many achievements and contributions to the activities of preserving, maintaining, and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic groups in the locality taking place on April 18, 2024 at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village; Reporting achievements, visiting President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and meeting with Party and State leaders on April 19, 2024.
In particular, the performance activities introducing heritage and local culture will have many special activities such as: Soc Trang Provincial Cultural Tourism Festival with the reenactment of the Lantern Fighting Ceremony of the Chinese people (April 20) introducing the Lantern Festival, the lantern fighting festival, the incense offering ceremony and the worship rituals of the gods; describing the lion - lion - dragon dance performances, ancient music concerts, the ritual music of the tower, excerpts from Trieu Chau opera, performance of festival costumes, singing and dancing to bless... the contents will be described and introduced for visitors to understand, visualize and feel. This is an extremely grand festival with many brilliant colors.
This is the most attractive and exciting part of the festival, the Chinese people participate in the auction with the belief that if they can win a satisfactory lantern, their family will be safe and prosperous in the year. In addition, they also want to contribute a part to the temple to do social charity. Cultural and artistic exchange activities bearing the mark of Soc Trang land such as: performing Ngu am music, Schay Dam drum, teaching Rom vong dance, Chan dance, playing flute, performing Ro bam, performing Rom vong folk art are national intangible cultural heritages recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
In addition, there is a space for introducing and practicing traditional crafts that will introduce and demonstrate the Pia cake making profession of the Chinese people in Soc Trang, a national intangible cultural heritage from choosing ingredients, making cakes to letting tourists experience and selling them as gifts; Introducing the craft of painting on glass; Space to introduce and promote tourism, cuisine, photo exhibition and display of OCOP products of Soc Trang province
The Dak Lak Highland Colors program will take place at the Ethnic Villages Area II with a reenactment of the groom's procession in the wedding ceremony of the Ede people in Dak Lak province, introducing and reenacting the groom's procession according to the customs of the Ede people in Dak Lak province; organizing a festival for the villagers to get drunk on rice wine, gong beats, xoang circles, and happy songs for the happiness of the Ede boys and girls and a space to introduce Ede ethnic music, giving the audience the opportunity to learn about traditional musical instruments: gongs, bamboo gongs, ching cram... Performing folk songs and dances: Aray singing, folk songs, songs about the Central Highlands, xoang dance; Introducing traditional crafts, OCOP products; Introducing and reenacting the traditional coffee performance space of the ethnic people from selecting beans, to roasting, naturally pounding and filtering by the ethnic people's own natural methods.
The program "Colors of Dao Village Culture" will recreate the Coming of Age Ceremony of the Dao ethnic group in Thanh Hoa province and the program to introduce Dao ethnic culture through folk music and dance performances: bell dance, folk songs, singing and dancing performances introducing the Dao village and the Dao people's gratitude to the Party and Uncle Ho; Dao ethnic culture through worship paintings and traditional costumes of the Dao ethnic group in Thanh Hoa.

The activities of the ethnic communities operating daily at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village continue to introduce and recreate cultural features in daily life, rituals, costumes, folk songs, folk dances, cuisine, traditional crafts, traditional folk games... right in the space of the ethnic villages where people operate daily: Tay, Nung (Thai Nguyen), Dao (Hanoi), Mong (Ha Giang), Muong (Hoa Binh), Lao, Kho Mu, Thai (Son La), Ta Oi, Co Tu (Thua Thien Hue), Ba Na, Gia Rai (Gia Lai), Xo Dang (Kon Tum), E De (Dak Lak), Khmer (Soc Trang).
Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day on April 19 is organized to concretize the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on the preservation and promotion of cultural values of ethnic minorities. Continue to affirm the Party and State's attention to the role and responsibility of artisans and those who have made great contributions to the preservation and promotion of the culture of ethnic minorities, border areas, and particularly difficult areas.
