SLNA young talent in top 60 most promising young players in the world

Every year, The Guardian releases a list of the 60 most promising players in the world based on reports from scouts, scouts and assessments from leading experts. In 2014, HAGL's young star Phan Thanh Hau was included in this list.

After 9 years, Vietnam has the second name, Le Dinh Long Vu of SLNA. According to The Guardian, Le Dinh Long Vu is in the top 60 most promising players born in 2006 in the world today.

The newspaper described: “Vietnam has many technical, agile and two-footed players, but Le Dinh Long Vu has excited fans with his great potential. Long Vu made such a strong impression at the U17 Asian Cup that he was called up to the U23 Vietnam team.

His pace, balance, dribbling and ability to break into the box have led some fans to compare him to Phil Foden. Young Vietnamese talents do not always develop as expected, but Long Vu can definitely go far with the right club and coaching.

Le Dinh Long Vu was born on May 27, 2006 in Thach Ha, Ha Tinh . He emerged from local children's football before being recruited by SLNA at the age of 10. At SLNA's famous training center, Long Vu quickly shone and often played "skipping levels". For example, in 2019, after winning the national U13 championship with the Nghe An team, Long Vu was promoted to the U15 team to play in the National tournament.

After an explosive performance at the National U15 tournament, Le Dinh Long Vu was called up by coach Hoang Anh Tuan to the Vietnam U16 and U17 teams. In the 2023 U17 Asian qualifiers, the SLNA prodigy exploded, helping Vietnam U17 crush Thailand U17 3-0 to win a ticket to the finals.

In the recent 2023 Southeast Asian U23 tournament, Le Dinh Long Vu was also named in the championship squad of U23 Vietnam. Although he has not played much at this level, the SLNA winger promises to be a great hope for Vietnamese football in the coming years.
