Family plans to recreate Abby Choi's (Thai Thien Phuong) face from her skull using 3D printing technology and makeup services
The funeral is expected to last only one day and the next day, the body will be taken to Po Lin Monastery on Hong Kong's Lantau Island.
A source told SCMP that Abby Choi’s family planned to hire a high-tech company overseas to use 3D printing technology combined with makeup services to recreate the model’s face from the skull found. This is to allow mourners who wish to see the deceased’s body one last time to see it in its entirety and with respect.
However, this information has not been officially confirmed. After conducting tests, including DNA testing, the investigative agency handed over the remains including the skull, two legs... found of Abby Choi to her family late last month. The missing parts of the body have not been found after many large-scale search efforts.
