On January 9, Hai Chau 1 Ward Police (Hai Chau District, Da Nang City) handed over a female kitchen assistant to Hai Chau District Police for handling the case of theft. The female suspect is D.TKN (32 years old, residing in Hoa Phuoc Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City), working at a restaurant on Bach Dang Street, Hai Chau 1 Ward.
Previously, on January 5, Mr. TQB, an employee of this restaurant, went to the Hai Chau 1 Ward Police Station to report the loss of an iPhone 11 mobile phone. The bag containing Mr. B's phone was hanging in the employee area.
D.TKN was detained at the police station.
Hai Chau 1 Ward Police investigated and quickly identified the suspect as D.TKN, a kitchen assistant at the restaurant. N. confessed to stealing Mr. B.'s cell phone and selling it for money.
N. also confessed that in the early morning of December 26, he opened the door to the reception desk and stole more than 9 million VND in cash from the restaurant. N. used this money to pay off his debt and spent it all.
N. admitted to taking advantage of the restaurant's lax management and lack of supervision of areas with valuable assets to steal.
Hai Chau Ward 1 Police recovered the iPhone 11 mobile phone, handed over the evidence and the suspect to the Hai Chau District Police Investigation Agency for temporary detention and further investigation.
