3 teenagers stole more than 200 Ngoc Linh ginseng roots

On November 29, the Investigation Police Agency of Nam Tra My District Police, Quang Nam Province, announced that it had just issued an order to detain a person in an emergency case, an order to arrest a person detained in an emergency case, and a decision to temporarily detain three subjects: Ho Thanh Duc (born in 2003), NTL (born in 2010) and HVP (born in 2008, all residing in village 1, Tra Nam commune, Nam Tra My district) for the act of theft of property.

According to the case file, on November 25, Nam Tra My District Police received a report from a group of households in Village 2 (Tra Linh Commune) about the theft of more than 200 Ngoc Linh ginseng roots, weighing more than 7kg.

By noon on November 26, through screening and information provided by the public, authorities identified the suspect as preparing to sell stolen property.

Nam Tra My District Police identified 3 subjects who committed the ginseng theft, including Ho Thanh Duc, NTL and HVP.

The police quickly deployed, verified and recovered most of the stolen property, including 3.33 kg of Ngoc Linh ginseng, and seized 155 million VND (obtained by the group selling the stolen ginseng).
