(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Despite being wanted internationally, after fleeing to China, Bui Van De continued to commit crimes and was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
On February 21st, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police announced that the unit's Exit Management Department and Criminal Police Department, in coordination with the Huu Nghi International Border Gate Border Guard Station (Lang Son), had apprehended Bui Van De (born in 1990), from Yen Phu commune, Lac Son district, Hoa Binh province.
Bui Van De is the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police for the crime of theft.
Earlier in 2019, Bui Van De stole property in Dong Tho ward, Thanh Hoa city, and then fled to China.

After fleeing to China, Bui Van De continued to commit theft and was arrested by Chinese authorities, receiving a 5-year prison sentence (2019-2024).
After serving his prison sentence, on February 10th, Chinese authorities handed over Bui Van De to Vietnamese authorities at the Huu Nghi International Border Gate.
Currently, the Immigration Management Department and the Criminal Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police have arrested and transferred Bui Van De to the Thanh Hoa City Police for re-investigation and application of temporary detention measures as prescribed.
