“We are very happy to have qualified for the semi-finals, but the team's goal doesn't stop there; we aim for a higher position. The whole team will fight their hardest in tomorrow's match. The players have prepared well tactically, physically, and mentally, so I believe we will have a good game,” Coach Kim Sang Sik shared at the press conference on the afternoon of December 14th.

The Vietnam U22 team will play against the Philippines U22 in the semi-finals of the 33rd SEA Games tomorrow afternoon, December 15th. Previously, in an interview with Dan Tri newspaper, coach Kim Sang Sik stated that among the semi-final opponents, he hoped to face the Philippines U22 team. And that wish has now come true.
“In terms of personnel, many players have returned, which has improved the team's organization. Although we won 2-1 previously, there's no guarantee for tomorrow's match. However, the whole team is well-prepared and ready to fight for victory,” said coach Kim Sang Sik about the U22 Philippines team. At the U23 Southeast Asian Championship last July, U23 Vietnam defeated U22 Philippines 2-1 in the semi-finals.
